Young Mining Professionals (YMP) Toronto has announced that its Mining Cares initiative has raised C$190,420 for the United Way Greater Toronto covid-19 Emergency Relief Fund.

Generous donors of YMP Toronto raised C$95,210, with YMP Toronto matching the first C$5,000 of donations. All of these funds were matched by Polar Asset Management and other leaders in the asset management sector, resulting in an overall total of C$190,420. All donations will be invested in the community to help those most affected by covid-19.

YMP Toronto, through its Mining Cares initiative, is engaging the mining industry at large, including its corporate partners and young proffesionals, in a coordinated effort aimed at providing much-needed assistance to those who are most vulnerable to the effects of the pandemic.

YMP Toronto is a partner of UWGT and 100% of the funds raised go directly to the UWGT covid-19 Emergency Relief Fund.
