A third trade union representing workers at Codelco's Andina copper mine has gone on strike after rejecting the company's latest labor offer, the Chilean state-owned miner said.

A third trade union representing workers at Codelco's Andina copper mine have gone on strike after rejecting the company's latest labor offer, the Chilean state-owned miner said.

Suplant joined Industrial Integration Labor (SIIL) and Unificado de Trabajadores (SUT), the two unions that decided to strike from August 12, and downed tools at 8am local time on Tuesday August 17, the company said.
