The domestic rebar market in Russia's Central Federal District around Moscow moved up in the week to January 18 on higher offers from mills, with market activity, however, subdued due to seasonal factors, several sources told Fastmarkets.

Trading activity in Russia's rebar market was slow over the assessment week due to seasonally slow end-user demand, sources said.
"It's extremely cold outside, construction sites are not very active," one trader said.
Construction activity in Russia typically slows in late autumn and early winter due to poor weather conditions and does not start to recover again until late March.
