POLAND REBAR: Buyers wait for lower prices but market still strong

Domestic steel rebar prices in Poland have narrowed downward slightly over the past week under pressure from cheaper imports, but robust construction activity and strong order books at producers were expected to prevent prices from collapsing, sources told Fastmarkets on Friday September 10.

Fastmarkets' price assessment for steel reinforcing bar (rebar), domestic, exw Poland, was 4,000-4,050 zloty ($1,043-1,056) per tonne on Friday, narrowing downward by 50 zloty from 4,000-4,100 zloty per tonne last week.
