Inauguration Heats Speculation About President's Head

Free Market Analysis: US President Barack Obama is such a heavily scrutinized person that speculation swirls around his head (literally), whether justified or not.
In this case, 'Net alternative news media websites were arguing over what happened to Obama's head scars during his recent inaugural appearance. They didn't appear to be there anymore, though apparently a long scar under his jaw was still in evidence.
Forum posts at What Really Happened, Godlike Productions and the David Icke forum all commented on Obama's various head scars or the lack of them. Most of them referred to a 2011 article in the Daily Mail that featured a large pictorial investigation into the issue.
Since there was never any follow-up, one can only assume that the feature was a kind of limited hangout. This was at the time when "birther" questions over Obama's US birth certificate or lack thereof were raging. Within this context the article was timely, though one can argue as well that it was provided as a kind of "limited hangout."
In this case, some information is presented to the public to address a particular issue or grievance but that information shall be neither definitive nor comprehensive. Here's a quote from the beginning of the Daily Mail article (paragraphing ours):
Mystery scars on Obama's head prompt another question from conspiracy theorists – has the President had brain surgery? … He has been plagued with questions and doubts concerning his background throughout his first term as President. Questions like – is Barack Obama actually American? Is he a Muslim? Is he actually an alien from another planet? – have frequently been asked.
The next question circulating on the internet – has President Obama had brain surgery? … Some observers believe this image shows a distinctive scar which looks like those left after brain surgery. However, there could simply be another explanation such as a bad haircut or birth mark. Internet blog sites, conspiracy theorists and forums are awash with rumours as to what those mystery scars on the president's head are from.
Much of President Obama's background remains embargoed. Conspiracy theorists have claimed that Obama is the ultimate manufactured politician, someone whose parents were involved with the CIA and who was groomed from childhood for some reason to fulfill the roll he now holds. Within this context, speculation is only to be expected, though mainstream media usually avoids it.
The 2011 Daily Mail article seemed to indicate that more critical coverage of the US president was emerging, at least overseas. But today that speculation is damped. There have been no follow-ups and even the controversy about Obama's birth certificate seems to have diminished.
Obama seems to us clearly a man who the top elites – the ones who are apparently trying to create global government – want in office. And these same elites have a pretty good hold over Western media. What gets published about him remains fairly restricted.
Mainstream Western media generally remains strictly controlled, in our view, and you'll rarely if ever read a significant account about how the world works or who is actually "in charge." If the mainstream media were to start to scrutinize powerful people more honestly and openly, there could be a variety of impacts – politically, socially and, of course, economically.
That would certainly be a surprising development.
