Aben Resources states it will initially focus on testing a new target area with high-grade surface samples from outcrop.

Aben Resources Ltd. (ABN:TSX.V; ABNAF:OTCQB) kicked off drilling at its Forrest Kerr gold project in British Columbia's Golden Triangle, it announced in a news release.

The purpose, the company noted, is to test a new area, from which surface samples taken from outcrop returned high-grade polymetallic mineralization values that ranged from 10-43.4 grams per ton gold, 29.2-46 grams per ton silver and 1.3-4.6% copper.

Thus, the Vancouver-headquartered junior explorer will initially drill in the area of the Boundary Valley's west bank. It is about 500 meters (500m) south of North Boundary's high-grade mineralized zone. The target hosts a 300m-long corridor of polymetallic mineralization, and about 190m west of that is a large magnetic anomaly.

"The coincident magnetic anomaly combined with the confirmed precious metal mineralization in both outcrop and drill core from this area make for a compelling target that will be further explored during this season," the release noted.
