Great Bear Resources finished drilling one-third of the planned holes for the LP Fault at its project in Ontario.

Great Bear Resources Ltd. (GBR:TSX.V; GTBDF:OTCQX) announced in a news release the latest results from the LP Fault at its Dixie project in the Red Lake District of Ontario.

"As we approach the one-year anniversary of the discovery of the LP Fault and our 100th drill hole into this target, our sense of enthusiasm continues to build as the LP Fault continues to deliver robust gold results with more detailed drilling," president and CEO Chris Taylor said in the release.

These new results were noteworthy for one of the longest high-grade intervals ever encountered at Dixie, which was hit in hole BR-118, placed in the middle of a 150 meter (150m) drilling gap. That interval was 18.57 grams per ton (18.56 g/t) gold over 13m, including 132 g/t gold over 0.5m, within a broader interval of 2.67 g/t over 104.15m beginning at 127.15m.

BR-118 also showed 10.17 g/t gold over 6.8m within a broader interval of 3.18 g/t gold over 56.95m, beginning at the bedrock surface at 30.2m. The company noted that the geology and mineralization styles there are like those seen in both adjacent drill sections: 20750, located 75-100m to the northwest, and 20600, located 50-75m to the southeast.

"All other drill holes reported in this release also continue to successfully intersect gold mineralization at all points tested along the LP Fault to-date," the company reported.

An intercept from drill hole BR-089, located 450m northwest of BR-118, assayed 18.06 g/t gold over 4.75m, including 156 g/t gold over 0.5m and 11.03 g/t gold over 6.95m.

Hole BR-088, located 1.35 kilometers to the northwest of BR-118, returned 0.71 g/t gold over 100.95m.

Great Bear plans about 300 drill holes into the LP Fault target, as part of its 5 km long by 500m deep grid drill program, for which it is fully funded.
