EUROPE HRC: Prices stable; buyers refrain from trading

Europe's domestic prices for hot-rolled coil were stable on Friday August 6 due to a seasonal slowdown, sources told Fastmarkets.

Buyers in Europe have sufficient stocks and activity has been low in August, a traditionally slow period, resulting in weak trading activity. Market activity is expected to recover between the end of August and first half of September.
Domestic producers only had HRC available from fourth-quarter rolling, but some claimed to be sold out until the end of the year.
