Dubai Hosts First Lab Grown Symposium

(IDEX Online) - Dubai is to host its first LGD Symposium in a bid to drive the sector's long-term success.Global leaders in the lab-grown and technology space, including industry, retailers, financial institutions, governmental stakeholders, growers and manufacturers will converge on 10 July.Organizers DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre) says it is a "critical moment to address unique challenges faced by LGD and outline action plan for global long-term growth of technology-driven sector".Ahmed Bin Sulayem, executive chairman and CEO, said: "Since the arrival of farmed pearls from Japan in the 1930s, the UAE has recognised the potency, challenges and benefits of disruptive industries."Lab-grown represents a completely new and unique industry with its own set of opportunities, from jewellery to heat sinks and semiconductors."
