CHINA HRC: Pakistan starts buying Chinese products again

China's domestic hot-rolled coil prices gained some strength on Monday April 27 despite losses in the futures market. Some optimism has also emerged among exporters with buyers in Pakistan starting to buy from China again.

Domestic
Eastern China (Shanghai): 3,300-3,310 yuan ($466-467) per tonne, up 10-20 yuan per tonne
Northern China (Tangshan): 3,240 yuan per tonne, up 10 yuan per tonne
Trading activity across the country weakened after prices increased during the day, sources said.

While sellers in Shanghai started the day by offering at 3,310 yuan per tonne, they had to reduce prices to 3,300 yuan per tonne to generate orders, a trader there said.
