RAPAPORT... Alrosa has expanded its roster of long-termclients receiving rough diamonds in its Alrosa Alliance program. The company will publish the new client list for the 2018 to 2020 contract period later this month, it said. Clients must comply with Alrosa'sresponsible business practices, show a certain level of rough-diamond demandeven when the market is slow, and demonstrate financial performance that meetsthe company's standards.Contract clients currently account for 70% of Alrosa's totalsales volume. In November, the company announced it would be assessing buyers' rough-diamond needs annually rather than every three years, making it easier tomatch supply with demand.Correction, January 1, 2018: A previous version of this story included a list of Alrosa clients. Those companies were in fact the old list of Alrosa clients for the 2015 to 2017 contract period, and not the new list, as incorrectly stated.
