Peru's copper production grows 4% in 2017 thanks to higher output at Las Bambas, Toromocho mines

Peruvian copper production increased by 3.9% in 2017, with higher volumes from MMG's Las Bambas and Chinalco's Toromocho offsetting the small declines at other major mines.

The country produced a total of 2.45 million tonnes of copper last year, compared with 2.35 million tonnes in 2016, Peru's energy and mines ministry, MEM, said its website on Sunday February 4.
