Kimberley Rough Goes on Sale in Antwerp

RAPAPORT... Production from the Kimberley mining operations in SouthAfrica will come to Antwerp for tender following Petra Diamonds' sale of theasset. Until now, Petra only offered the goods for sale in SouthAfrica. The company offloaded its 76% stake in the project to Ekapa Mining for$22 million last month in order to focus on its core assets. Koin International will facilitate the initial sale of morethan 66,000 carats of rough weighing 0.75 carats and below, as well as 10.8-caratstones and higher. Viewings will take place in Antwerp in late August and earlySeptember, Koin said Tuesday. Production from other companies' mines willfeature at the same tender.
