Israel Hosts First Major Diamond Events Since Covid

(IDEX Online) - Israel Diamond Exchange is to host its first international events since the Covid pandemic.The inaugural Israel Diamond Conference will take place on March 27, bringing together mining ministers, major diamond producers, finance and banking leaders and other key industry figures. A tender of white and fancy color polished goods, Diagurus, the Israeli branch of the South African DMC, will be held from March 26 to 30. The World Diamond Congress, the major event of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses, which is held every three years, will take place on March 28 to 30.Covid forced organizers to hold the 2020 event online and to cancel the physical congress, which had been due to take place in Hong Kong. The last physical congress, in 2018, was also held in Israel.The Israel International Diamond Exhibition, will take place from March 28 to 30 with hundreds of Israeli and international exhibitors offering goods.Organizers will provide three free hotel nights to overseas diamond buyers.Israel Diamond Exchange President Boaz Moldawsky said: "Even before announcing the tender, buyer registration has been progressing at a very rapid pace."I am sure that the polished tender will attract an even greater number of buyers, from Israel and around the world.File pic of Israel Diamond Week, courtesy Israel Diamond Exchange
