India Posts Robust Increase in Polished Exports

(IDEX Online) - India's exports of cut and polished diamonds increased by 11.7% on the year in July to $1.84 billion.

 

For the April-July period, India's exports of cut and polished diamonds increased by 9.5% on the year to $8.13 billion, according to figures from the GJEPC.

 

Meanwhile, exports of rough diamonds in July rose by 9.9% to $99.9 million.

 

Exports of rough diamonds in the April-July period declined by 11.7% to $402.2 million.

 

Net exports of gems and jewelry jumped by 33.7% to $2.51 billion in July, while the figure for the April-July period was down 4.4% to $10.64 billion.
