(IDEX Online) - The American Gem Society (AGS) has postponed its 2021 Conclave, an annual education, social and networking event for jewelry traders, after cancelling the 2020 event. It now hopes to host a Conclave in the fall, instead of the event that had been planned for 26-28 April 2021 in Louisville, Kentucky, USA.The AGS has been holding Conclaves at venues around the USA since 1937."This was a very difficult, but necessary decision for us to make," said Alexis Padis, chair of the AGS Conclave Committee, and secretary on the AGS board of directors."With the uncertainty that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought and the health of our membership as the top priority, we came to the conclusion, after much discussion, that the best thing to do for our members was to move this much-loved event to the fall." File pic shows the 2018 Conclave in Nashville, Tennessee
