Clarification on holiday pricing schedule for Fastmarkets' seaborne Asian lithium prices

November 12, 2021 / www.metalbulletin.com / Article Link

Fastmarkets has identified a necessary clarification of the holiday pricing schedule for its seaborne Asian battery-grade lithium prices.

The two price assessments for battery-grade seaborne lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide monohydrate on a cif China, Japan & Korea basis will be published daily from December 1, 2021. This follows the conclusion of a consultation to increase the pricing frequency of the two assessments to daily from weekly.
Both of these prices follow the holiday calendar of England and Wales. Therefore, when the pricing day falls on a bank holiday in England and Wales, neither prices will be assessed or published. This also means the two prices will be published as usual during holidays in China, South Korea and Japan.
Below are the remaining public holidays in 2021 when neither of these seaborne Asian lithium prices will be published:
Monday December 27
Tuesday December 28
To provide feedback on the pricing holiday schedule of Fastmarkets' lithium price assessments, or if you would like to provide price information by becoming a data submitter to these prices, please contact Dalila Ouerghi and Susan Zou by email at: pricing@fastmarkets.com.
