China's auto output, sales growth rates slow in 2017

China's vehicle production and sales grew at a slower rate last year, according to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) late on Thursday January 11.

A total of 29.02 million vehicles were produced in the country last year, and 28.88 million units were sold.These are up 3.2% and 3% respectively in comparison with 2016. Last year's growth rate for production fell 11.3 percentage points compared...
