The Markets:

Oil closed unchanged as oversupply concerns were offset by talk of output cuts.

The U.S. dollar index fell markedly and treasuries rose after "Federal Reserve Vice Chairman Richard Clarida on Friday morning said he sees 'signs of slowing growth' and that sluggish expansion in the globe will be factored in the central bank's calculus as it attempts to normalize interest-rate policy."

The Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P traded mixed as optimism over trade talks with China countered disappointing tech results.

Among the big names making news in the market Friday were Airbnb, BlackBerry, VW, Nordstrom, PG&E, Nvidia, and Cisco.
